I got a bunch of vintage figures from various manufacturers at the Midwest Toy Soldier Show, but many of them came in not the best condition, cleanliness-wise. Many of them smelled funny and had a visible layer of dirt on them. So I decided to clean them by soaking them, brushing them, rinsing them, and then drying them off. The result are some squeaky-clean, great looking figures! :)
Soaking the figures in hot water mixed with dish soap.
Scrubbing the dirt off.
The rinsing stage.
The end result is that they look as though they could be recent recasts, when actually they are originals.
I soaked mine in Oxyclean for a few hours and then rinsed them off. Worked very well too. Great blog.
